Karen has over 20 years of executive recruiting experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, and IT industries. She is driven to help her clients find the perfect match and describes herself as a full lifecycle recruiter across a wide range of functional areas, including sales, regulatory affairs, medical/clinical affairs, research and development, quality, technology, manufacturing, finance, IT, and engineering.
Prior to Alioth, Karen worked for some of the most well-known pharmaceutical and technology companies, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, inVentiv Health, and Xerox. Karen began her career in the pharmaceutical industry as a sales representative and then was promoted to hospital representative before becoming a district manager. While Karen loved sales, she found a true passion for recruiting, which led her to start her own biotech recruiting firm and to work as the sole recruiter for Bausch+Lomb’s surgical division. She spent the last 8 years as a Sr. Corporate Recruiter for Xerox.
Karen holds a B.A. in business from California State University, Chico. She calls Reno, NV her home and has two grown daughters. In her spare time, she loves hiking, backpacking, and traveling the world with her husband, Dan. She also enjoys gardening and photography.
